Tropical Storm Elsa update, Monday evening |
|
As of 5pm Monday, Tropical Storm Elsa was located about 45 miles southeast of Havana, Cuba and will be moving into the Gulf of Mexico this evening.
While there will be some westerly shear across the eastern Gulf for the storm to deal with, some strengthening is certainly not out of the question before Elsa hits Florida. FOX 13 News Chief Meteorologist Paul Dellegatto shows us what the National Hurricane Center's 5 p.m. update means for the track of Elsa in relation to Florida and Tampa Bay. Get your tropical weather forecast each day during hurricane season from the meteorologists at FOX 13 Tampa Bay and MyFoxHurricane.
