As we're thinking about what businesses should be looking at from a geopolitical perspective, there are a few things, particularly, in the short term, say, the next six months or so. One is going to obviously be the impact of the outcome of the US elections, and that's not necessarily a question of domestic politics, but really, of what types of policies are able to be produced inside the United States.

How much of a delay in policymaking is there going to be, and how might that start to impact the global regulatory environment as the United States positions itself in the face of, for example, its competition with the Chinese, or in some of the adjustments in trade dynamics with the Europeans, or with its Asian partners?

Obviously, another thing to be watching for in the next six months is going to be the way in which the conflict in Ukraine plays out. Are we going to be seeing some form of temporary resolution there, or are we going to see an acceleration of the conflict outside of the borders of Ukraine?
