video thumbnail
NIH has several opportunities for nurses including a career as a Nurse Consultant or a Clinical Nurse. Nurse Consultants serve as advisors to the Chief Nurse Officer and to other senior-level officials in regard to analyzing nursing program issues and developing patient management plans. Clinical Nurses provide clinical care to research participants, assess nursing needs to provide safe and efficient care, develop care and patient education plans, and participate in multidisciplinary conferences and activities regarding patient care and protocol implementation.
