Quick Facts:
• Studio Album released in March 2019. Eilish largely co-wrote the album with her brother Finneas O'Connell.
• Become the year's best-selling album in Canada, while in the UK it had made Eilish the youngest female solo act to chart at #1. Debuted at #1 in US.
• Eilish and O'Connell Won Grammys for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album, while "Bad Guy" won them awards for Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Eilish also received a Grammy for Best New Artist, and Finneas won for Producer of the Year and Best Engineered Album. With her feat, Eilish became the 2nd recording artist and 1st woman to win the 4 major categories — Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist — for the same year.
• Billboard # 2 The 50 Best Albums of 2019, NY Times 1 Best Albums of 2019, NME #1 album of 2019, Rolling Stone #2 album of 2019

Has been characterized as a pop, electropop, avant-pop, and art pop album, though it also features influences from hip hop and industrial music. Its songs explore themes such as modern youth, drug addiction, heartbreak, suicide, and mental health, with lyrical sensibilities of humor and horror. Eilish said the album was inspired in part by lucid dreaming and night terrors, which are reflected on the cover photo.

1. !!!!!!! – Only 14 seconds - Eilish slurps saliva from her Invisalign aligners and announces that "this is the album," before she and her brother descend into laughter. O'Connell explained that it served to "find a sense of humor" amidst the "heaviness" of the album.

2. Bad Guy - On the day of album release it was simultaneously issued as the record's 5th single. Described as electropop, dance-pop, pop-trap, and nu-goth pop, for which synth bass, a kick drum, finger snaps and 808 bass provide minimalist instrumentation.

3. Xanny – The refers to the drug Xanax. Eilish told about the glorification of drug use, specifically when it comes to teenagers and young adults.

4. You Should See Me in a Crown – Title was inspired by a scene from the BBC television series Sherlock where the villain Moriarty says the words "...honey, you should see me in a crown". Is a trap-influenced electropop song featuring her singing over "blaring synths and rapid-fire hi-hats." Lyrically, features Eilish plotting for world dominance.

5. All the Good Girls Go to Hell – In interview, Finneas confirmed the track is indeed about climate change.

6. Wish You Were Gay –She was inspired to write it at the age of 14 when she was "madly in love with a boy." She said her crush "really was not interested" in her, and she wished that "he was gay so that he didn't like [her] for an actual reason, instead of the fact that he didn't like [her].

7. When the Party's Over (writer: F. O'Connell) – A piano ballad with choral influences.

8. 8 – A ukulele-based lullaby which manipulates her vocals to make her sound like a small child. Eilish admits it is written from the perspective of somebody she hurt..

9. My Strange Addiction (writer: F. O'Connell) - Is a bass-heavy pop song. Eilish has stated she is a "superfan" of The Office, which may have been the reason why quotes from the episode "Threat Level Midnight" are sampled. In the lyrics, she knows he is no good for her but she doesn’t care, she wants what she wants.

10. Bury a Friend –Described as synth-pop and electronica for which hip hop beats, percussion and a synthesizer provide minimalist instrumentation. Her vocals are subtle and treated with layers of vocal effects.
The track's "dark" and "violent" lyrics are written from the perspective of "the monster under your bed. Anything could be the monster — it could be someone you love so much that it’s taking over your life.

11. Ilomilo – Is about the fear of separation.

12. Listen Before I Go - Song is about Eilish telling her lover to listen to what she has to say before she commits suicide.

13. I Love You - 4:52 longest in her discography,

14. Goodbye – only 1:59, features a line of each of the album's tracks (with the exception of "!!!!!!!") in its lyrics in reverse order compared with how they appear in the album.

Favorite Tracks: When The Party's Over, 8, Wish You Were Gay, Listen Before I Go, I Love You

Overall Score: Makinsey 9.5/10, Shawn 8.5/10
