An internationally known rock musician Lenny Kravitz got interested in music as early as just three, banging on all pots and pans all around the kitchen. By the age of five, he started playing the guitar and drums and was doing it with real passion. Perhaps, the singer inherited music talent from parents who were into music a lot, listening to jazz, opera, blues, etc. When the family moved from New York to California, a young starlet joined the metropolitan choir. Lenny’s father, Seymour worked for the NBC as a news producer. According to the celebrity, his father loved women a lot and that was the main reason of his regular cheating. This led to parent’s divorce after 19 years of married life. Seymour was diagnosed with leukemia and died because of it in 2005, aged 80. While being at the hospital, he apologized to a son for living a life he did.

The mother, Roxie was a famous actress and a wonderful parent. While Roxie was described as the best and warmest mom on Earth, Seymour was always disciplinarian. Mamma Roxie passed away from breast cancer that she was trying to battle for several years. It happened in 1995, when she was 66.

Cynthia Garrett is the celebrity’s so-called “spiritual” sister. Kravitz and Garrett are not related by blood but they have been sharing a unique tight bond since childhood and so tend to call each other brother and sister. Cynthia is an author and actress by profession.

Lenny was married only once in his life to Lisa Michelle Bonet. They tied the knot officially in 1987 in Las Vegas and within a year have produced a baby-girl. However, after the birth of a child, things started getting worse and worse and after 6 years, they were finally divorced. In accordance with the rock singer, his father played a big role in terms of divorce. When Seymour divorced Roxie and was living home, he told Lenny that he will also be a divorcee one day. But the main difference between the music star and his father is that Lenny has always been in close relationship with ex spouse and took care of a daughter, being a great dad.

Zoe Isabella made Kravitz a father for the very first time. She was welcomed in 1988 and is now a sought-after actress. Additionally to that, she is also into singing and modeling. The father and daughter share a tight bond even though they are not often seen together.
