Invictus by W.E. Henley |

🔰This was Nelson Mandela's favorite poem so it has a special place in our history. This channel has been "accused" of having a sad vibe, I guess most of the videos have a melancholic feel to them due to my personality. This poem and this edit are definitely more hopeful and I will grasp this opportunity to state, all I ever tried to express is that "it's ok to be sad" sometimes but the point is to survive the dark days. Be unbowed unafraid and unconquerable.

In the fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance My head is bloody, but unbowed. Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the Horror of the shade, And yet the menace of the years Finds and shall find me unafraid. It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll, I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul. |
