The three northeastern states - Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland - defied anti-incumbency to vote back the current dispensation to power, the India Today-Axis My India exit poll projected. While Tripura and Nagaland turned in a majority mandate, Meghalaya will see a post-poll alliance, it said.
