مَولا یَ صَلِّ وَسَلِّم دَائِماََ إ بَدََا
عَلٰی حَبِیْبِکَ خَیْرِ الخَلْقِ کُلِّھِمِ

مُحَمّدٌ سَیِّدُ الکَوْنَیْنِ والثَّقَلَیْنِ
وَالفَرِقَیْنِ مِنْ عَرَ بِِ وَّ مِنْ عَجَمِ
مَولا یَ صَلِّ وَسَلِّم دَائِماََ إ بَدََا
عَلٰی حَبِیْبِکَ خَیْرِ الخَلْقِ کُلِّھِمِ

ہُوْ اَلحَبِیْبُ الَّذِیْ تُرْ جَی شَفَا عَتُہُ
لِکُلِّ ھَوْلِِ مِنَ الأَھْوَالِ مُقْتَحِمِ
مَولا یَ صَلِّ وَسَلِّم دَائِماََ إ بَدََا
عَلٰی حَبِیْبِکَ خَیْرِ الخَلْقِ کُلِّھِمِ


یَا رَبِّ بِا لْمُصْطَفٰی بَلِّغْ مَقَا صِدَنَا
وَ غْفِر لَنَا مَا مَضٰی یَا وَاسِعَ الْکَرَمِ
مَولا یَ صَلِّ وَسَلِّم دَائِماََ إ بَدََا
عَلٰی حَبِیْبِکَ خَیْرِ الخَلْقِ کُلِّھِمِ





Qasida al-Burda (Arabic: قصيدة البردة‎), known in English as the ‘Poem of the Cloak’ or the ‘Mantle-Ode’ is the most famous work of Imam Sharaf ad-Din al-Busiri V, an eminent Sufi poet. It also known as al-Kawakib al-duriyah fi madḥ Khayr al-Bariyah (Arabic: الكواكب الدرية في مدح خير البرية ), meaning ‘Celestial Lights in Praise of the Best of Creation’ or ‘Glittering Stars in Praise of the Best of Creation’. Despite the difficulty of the poem’s exalted Arabic, it has been said that it is the most widely-memorised poem in the Muslim world.
