Adebayo Akinfenwa, former footballer and football expert, expressed his shock at the fee demanded by Arsenal target Mykhaylo Mudryk. He also said that the demanded fee of £100 million is too high.
Hence, Shakhtar Donetsk should reduce their demands in order to sell their star winger. The winger has also made it clear that he wants to leave the club in the January transfer window.
According to reports, Arsenal are struggling to reach an agreement on a transfer fee for Mykhaylo Mudryk in the January transfer window. The report also states that the attacker is pushing Shakhtar to agree to a fee. However, they are not lowering their demands for the transfer fee. They are still asking for £100 million. The only plus point is that the Gunners have already reached a personal agreement with Mykhaylo Mudryk. So, the Premier League giants are ready with the other formalities.
Former footballer Adebayo Akinfenwa also said that no team, including Arsenal, will pay £100million for Mykhaylo Mudryk. He went on to say, “I’ve spoken time and time again that the market is inflated, so £100million these days isn’t £100million, if you get what I'm saying.
"There has to be some kind of common sense to try and ease up with it. You'll suddenly be throwing £200-250million at players. £100million? That's just to start (at Arsenal paying that fee for Mudryk to start, not be a team player).”
