Polestar 1 Road Review | More than just a £136,000 Volvo?

video thumbnail
Polestar started as a racing team, then they decided to have a go at tuning Volvos to make them a bit more exciting. Then Geely, which owns Volvo, bought Polestar and decided it should become its own brand, making electric cars.

The first car from Polestar is called, helpfully, the 1. What it isn't, is an EV, it's actually a hybrid coupe with 600PS from a 2.0-litre supercharged and turbocharged four-cylinder engine and an electric motor, and 1,000Nm of torque.

While it looks the business and its tech specs cannot be denied (it has fully manually adjustable dampers, all-wheel-drive, incredible electric-hybrid tech), it also costs £139,000 and they only made a handful of Polestar 1s. So is it worth the colossal pricetag?
