Mariachi Nuevo Santander of Roma High School captivated audiences at the 25th Annual Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza finale concert on Saturday, December 6, 2019. Their song selection includes their Tema into El Coleadero and El Siquisiri.

Hailing from the small town of Roma, TX Mariachi Nuevo Santander are 6x champions of the prestigious Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza National High School Group Competition. Under the direction of Eloy Garza, Mariachi Nuevo Santander members include violins/vocalists Alexia Aguillon, Jelayna Barrera, Francisco Garcia Jr., Julie Hernandez, Adrianna Martinez (also trumpet), Arely Molina, Hector Ramirez III, Anyssa Renteria and Ernesto Saldaña. The trumpet section includes Andres Barrientos and Juan Garcia Jr. Rounding out the group in the ammonia section are harpist Jacob Cruz, guitarron Sebastian Perez, vihuelist Cesar Rios and guitarists Marielena Chapa (also vocalist) and Eric Santana-Garcia.
