Dr. Sawmya Ray is a professor at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at IIT Guwahati. She expresses her thoughts on Gender socialization and how it impacts our society at root levels. She explains how gender discrimination has been normalized in our society and our daily lives. She also gives us an insight into how the oppressed are denied justice at the social level as well as at the judicial level. "Freedom cannot be achieved unless women have been emancipated from all kinds of oppression."
