Dr Simon Tavaré, Director of the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute and Professor at the University of Cambridge, discusses how mathematical sciences have contributed substantially to our understanding of the way cancer evolves.

This lecture was part of the launch of Melbourne Integrative Genomics, an interdisciplinary initiative of the University of Melbourne, which aims to further our understanding of biological systems, with a special focus on genomes as the blueprint for each system.
