On January 18, 2022, the Deep Cuts Project (https://deepcuts.org) held a briefing “How the U.S.-Russian Strategic Stability Dialogue can and must help to move nuclear arms control and disarmament forward”.
Three distinguished members of the Deep Cuts Commission, namely Angela Kane, Daryl Kimball and Andrei Zagorski discussed how nuclear arms control and confidence-building can help improve strategic stability. The inputs were based on the Deep Cuts Commission Statement “How the U.S.-Russian Strategic Stability Dialogue Can and Must Make Progress” (https://bit.ly/352fqPB). Rüdiger Bohn, Deputy Federal Government Commissioner for Disarmament and Arms Control of the Federal Foreign Office commented from a German perspective.
