Patients who have Hashimotos Thyroid disease often suffer with a number of Gastrointestinal problems. One of the problems I routinely see in my patients with Hashimotos and thyroid disease is acid reflux and if you are like most people who suffer with acid reflux you are most likely under the assumption that this pain in the middle of the chest, and the burning, the belching, the bloating, and the regurgitation is all caused by excess acid in the stomach.
