3d printed RC Excavator CAT 390F |
|
First video of the CAT 390F 3d printed excavator with electric motors for drive, boom and bucket controls.
Fully electric, uses 7 servos, 1 servo for each motor: - 2 for tracks, which are driven by 2 JGY-370@40 RPM worm gear motors - 1 for superstructure rotation, uses a JGY-370@25 RPM worm gear motors - 3 for boom, arm and bucket, each use JGB37-550 DC gear motor - 1 for bucket coupler, which is a GA1024-N20@60rpm gear motor All 3d printed except nuts, bolts, springs and lead screws. I also added some lead weights in the back so it won't fall over, filling with sand wasn't heavy enough. Connection between undercarriage and superstructure is done using a slew bearing with rollers, also fully 3d printed. Materials used: - tracks (track elements body, rollers, wheels) , slew bearing, superstructure base, arms and bucket (includes links): PETG - superstructure elements like cabin, motor housing: PLA - arm/bucket cylinders: ABS Still have some tinkering to do here and there, but I will post a new video soon and when completed I will also make available the STL files. |
