In an election year bid to keep gas prices from rising during the summer travel season, President Joe Biden's administration will release 1 million barrels from the government's stockpile. Democratic strategist Laura Fink joined “NewsNation Now” to break down what she suspects Biden’s strategy might be.

“I think what Biden is counting is on that prices on the pump will be lower and the fact that he is working and pulling out every weapon in his arsenal to fight inflation that he’ll be caught trying and that voters will appreciate it in November,” Fink said.
