Vegan BLT (Tempeh-bacon “Tempeh-con”) w/ No-Oil Baked Fries |

Vegan, plant-based, healthy BLT? NO WAY!! Want the smokey taste of a good BLT without the added fats of bacon? Want a side of fries without being weighed down by all the oil?
Pinterest-inspired Tempeh-bacon! For the marinade: 1 tablespoon olive oil (you can reduce this oil, but I like the sizzling effect!) 1 tablespoon agave 1 teaspoon soy sauce 1 teaspoon liquid smoke (find it here: http://amzn.to/1WS3WPL or use smoked paprika if you don’t use liquid smoke (find it here: http://amzn.to/1WS5ids) ½ teaspoon cumin ½ teaspoon black pepper salt Marinate the tempeh in the pan for a few minutes before heating up the non-stick pan. This way it saves on dishes, and also you don’t need to use as much oil. Baked fries Use sweet potatoes and/or red potatoes Add pepper, salt, thyme, rosemary. Add whatever seasonings you like!
