Thinning in the frontal hair line is commonly hormonal, that is what is called as androgenetic alopecia. So mainly here we need to reduce the hormone effect on the hair and we also need not stimulate the hair growth and many at times in addition to this, there is a component of traction here. For example in many guys and women who have very long hair and who put a pony, whenever there is a lot of reaction on these hairs then also it can give rose to hair loss. In these situations, they go for a receding frontal hair line which may be prominent and however it is because of the androgenetic alopecia, not only there is frontal recession, but also there is also vertical thinning that is thinning on the top of the scalp. So whenever there is thinning both on the frontal and vertical area, then it is more aggressive and we need to treat it more intensively. Thinning of hair in the frontal area requires application of solution in stimulating the hair growth and controlling the hair fall. In addition to this we usually do platelet rich plasma and low level laser therapy for these condition. Micro needling is also one therapy which will help to improve the hair growth in these areas.
