When news about Drishyam's remake leaked out to the press and it was announced that Kamal Haasan would be playing the lead role in it, everyone was eager to know who would be his lead pair in the film. With Meena essaying the role in the original version, it was speculated that she would bag the offer. Names like Nadiya and Simran were also in consideration.
However, the latest buzz is that Kamal Haasan may get actress Gauthami to essay the role. Sources say that Gauthami is interested in the role and Kamal opines that she would be an apt choice. However, nothing has been finalised yet as the star is busy with Uthama Villain right now.
