Bulusan Volcano Eruption Update; New Explosive Eruption, Ashfall Occurs to the North

video thumbnail
The Mount Bulusan volcano in the Philippines just produced a new eruption, sending a plume of ash more than 1,000 meters or 3,280 feet into the atmosphere. This eruption lasted for 18 minutes and began at 3:37 am local time on June 12th. This marks the second explosion at Mount Bulusan in a week, meaning that in all likelihood a prolonged eruptive period has begun. Interestingly, several reports made during the eruption claimed that an orange glow was seen from Bulusan's summit. This video will discuss the glow and its cause, along with other common questions about the volcano.
