The Mount Bulusan volcano in the Philippines just produced a new eruption, sending a plume of ash more than 1,000 meters or 3,280 feet into the atmosphere. This eruption lasted for 18 minutes and began at 3:37 am local time on June 12th. This marks the second explosion at Mount Bulusan in a week, meaning that in all likelihood a prolonged eruptive period has begun. Interestingly, several reports made during the eruption claimed that an orange glow was seen from Bulusan's summit.
