In today's polarized world, the values and relationships of CEOs and leaders hold greater significance than ever before. We have a remarkable (and unique) opportunity to leverage the power of the arts, humanity's oldest form of storytelling, to help build authentically inclusive company cultures. I will provide practical strategies, supported by illustrative examples and proven outcomes, which can be implemented by leaders within their respective work environments. Evelisa is currently the National Director of Diversity Equity and Inclusion for the Scouting Movement’s Canada Region. The Scouting movement worldwide has more than 31 million Scouts, youth and adults, boys and girls, in 216 countries and territories. Evelisa leads enterprise-wide culture change, developing the first DEI strategy + embedded/integration across all functions of the organization. A key part of this work is shaping the organizational narrative around equity, impacting over 20,000 youth, and 40,000 members total. Diverse lived experiences shared through the arts is a key way to unite everyone in that journey. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
