SAFTU Secretary General Zwelinzima Vavi has tested positive for COVID-19. Vavi told SABC News this morning that he had flu, but was getting better. He posted a WhatsApp message Thursday afternoon, saying the laboratory had alerted him of his positive results. In a short message, he vowed to "run it out, steam it out and just relax and observe all the rules". Vavi is one of several prominent people who have contracted the virus. Kenneth Meshoe and Steve Swart from the ACDP also tested positive.
