Rani Maa brings up her accountant's children Kaushal and Madhavi after his death, along with her son Rajesh. Years later, the children have grown up and are of marriageable age. Rajesh's wife, Bhanu begins to suspect him of having an affair with the innocent Madhavi and tries to drive her out of the palatial home. Madhavi suffers a setback when her brother is declared lost at sea. When Madhavi tries to commit suicide she is saved by a person named Moti. Rajesh and Rani Maa approve of Moti and Madhavi is married off to him. However, what Madhavi doesn't know is that Moti has an agenda of his own and that her marriage to him was just a sham for him to seek an entry into Rani Maa's castle.
