In 1994, with the India travel and tourism industry rapidly growing, the Educational Institute (EI) established an office in India. In 2007, EI and the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) entered into a strategic association to launch a degree program, christened B.A. in International Hospitality Administration (BAIHA).

BAIHA is a full time contemporary hospitality degree program incorporating 10 of EI's and 5 of IGNOU courses, spread over three years. EI is proud to be associated with IGNOU -- the world's largest Open University, in this unique venture in India.
