Standing and walking can be done within 24 hours after surgery. Staircase climbing should be done from the second day i.e. 2 days after the surgery. So we have to be sure of few points like proper assistance should be there by the physiotherapist. Also we have to do the exercises being in the comfortable zone like patient has to walk, stand as much as possible as he or she is comfortable without giving much strain.
