Short Glimpse of GNB Activities and Achievements | 2022 |

2022 is an important year for Good Neighbors, this year we entered the golden jubilee era of Good Neighbors Bangladesh.
This year we reached 0.44 million people through our activities.
Achievements of our community-led programs included: This year, nearly 22,000 sponsored children were supported, 0.14 million people were supported through health programs, 0.10 million people were involved in education programs, and 57,132 mothers were involved in income-generating activities. In addition, 36555 people contributed to child rights and women empowerment through advocacy activities, 20,126 people were involved in our community partnership and network-building activities, and 4681 people were supported under DRR activities.
By 2022, 39 million people were connected to Good Neighbors through 16 projects.
In order to implement SDG 4 and 5 under the education and protection program in 2022, it conducted reading camps, mobile libraries and organized science fairs to enhance children's innovative skills through 134 Dream School Centers, 79 partner schools, and 6 GNB schools.
50,695 children received nutritional support and 21,914 received medical support under health programs aimed at implementing SDG 3 and 6.
We mobilized 22,941 mothers for the purpose of family financial development through income generation activities aimed at implementing SDG 1,2,8 and 9. Moreover, 19 cooperatives with our technical support are currently running well under their leadership. As the membership of the co-operative increases, its capital increases at an increasing rate, and the mothers of the community are getting many benefits through it.
Good Neighbors has contributed to protecting the rights of children and women in the community by forming and managing child council committees, holding various social issue-based meetings, child rights campaigns, and observing various days.
Youth participation has been ensured in community partnership through networking, in partnership with UN Volunteers at the national level, International Volunteer Day has been celebrated where our volunteers have also participated and been awarded.
For disaster risk reduction, tree plantation programs were conducted, and emergency relief assistance was provided to flood-affected families in Kurigram.
Through our activities, we have contributed to the implementation of SDGs 1-6, 8, 9, 10, 13, 16, and 17.
In 2022, through partnership, we implemented 3 projects in Cox's Bazar, Kurigram, and Sunamganj in collaboration with UNICEF, WFP, and KOICA.
Through the implementation of the UNICEF Rohingya Emergency Response Project, we engaged about 15,000 people in awareness sessions on child protection and about 3,000 children received case management services.
Moreover, girlchild-friendly restrooms and toilet facilities have been implemented in 3 schools in the host community and 600 children have been provided with hygiene kits, first aid kits, sports equipment, and books for the library.
Through the WFP Building Resilience to Achieve Zero Hunger Project, disaster preparedness training for disaster risk reduction has been provided. Women have been involved in income generation activities and given market linkage training. Mothers are becoming self-sufficient by getting training and engaging in income-generating activities through this project.
In the worst flood of 2022, Sunamganj was the most affected district. We have implemented KOICA HPP Emergency Relief Project in Sunamganj in collaboration with KOICA Bangladesh. About 3000 people of Chatak Upazila benefited from this project.

Thank you very much to all the beneficiaries, partners, stakeholders, people from all levels of the community, staff, and volunteers for their cooperation in the proper implementation of all our programs in 2022. We hope that this trend of your cooperation will continue in the coming years. We want to go one step further with the goal of good change for the world with everyone's cooperation. Thank you.
