- The Mavericks signed Dexter Dennis to a training camp contract according to his agency. Dennis spent 4 years with the Wichita State Shockers before transferring to Texas A&M in his final season. Dennis played 146 games in college, including 128 starts.
- The Mavericks would still like to execute a Clint Capela trade, according to multiple reports. Would a 4-team deal between the Toronto Raptors, Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets and Mavericks involving Pascal Siakam get the deal done?
- JJ Barea has been hired as head coach of Puerto Rican League team Guanynabo Mets.
- Dirk Nowitzki will be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame this weekend, after a legendary 21-year career with the Dallas Mavericks.
- Former Mavs assistant coach Kaleb Canales will rejoin the organization as an assistant coach for the NBA G-League Texas Legends. Canales will likely be in charge of the development of guys like Mike Miles Jr., A.J. Lawson & Dereck Lively II, in addition to other Mavs who are spending time in Frisco.
