When you're eating a high protein, low carb diet, you also tend to eat more fat to compensate for the carb deficit. Also, some types of meat, such as ribeye steak, pork belly, or duck, contain higher amounts of fat compared to leaner cuts like chicken breast or turkey breast. Processed meats like sausages, bacon, and deli meats often contain added fats, such as saturated fats and trans fats, to enhance flavor and texture. You catch the drift.
