More in common – a legacy out of tragedy | Kim Leadbeater | TEDxLadbrokeGrove

video thumbnail
Kim Leadbeater didn’t set out for a campaigning career in the limelight but when her older sister, best friend and MP for Batley & Spen was murdered her life was changed forever.

Kim takes to the TEDx Ladbroke Grove stage to share the tragic story of losing her sister and the legacy that she leaves behind. Kim is an ambassador for the Jo Cox Foundation, created after her sister Jo Cox MP was murdered in June 2016. She chairs the More In Common-Batley & Spen volunteer group, as well as acting as spokesperson for The Great Get Together, an annual weekend of community events across the UK held in June. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
