Becoming more aware of imbalanced thoughts, automatic negative thoughts (ANTS), stinkin’ thinkin’ helps improve emotional and behavioural balance. Also, known as cognitive distortions, our brains will often overlay inaccurate thoughts onto emotions and/or events which can contribute to excessive feelings like sadness, anger, shame, grief, etc. This often fuels troubling behavioural patterns. This video highlights some of the more common cognitive or thinking traps we often fall into.

CBT helps us foster the change we desire in our lives and extinguish counter productive behaviours, thoughts and/or feelings related to that change.
