Eastern Gorillas

Eastern Gorillas are one of the strongest animals on earth. The male gorillas are twice as big as the females. The males can grow up to be 5.5 feet tall and weigh around 400 pounds. In comparison, female gorillas grow up to be 4.5 feet tall and can weigh up to 200 pounds. These gorillas live in a group where a dominant male gorilla controls females and children in the group. A knuckle-walk is a walk where the gorillas use their hands to walk on all fours.

The Ebola Virus recently killed many gorillas making their species more endangered than ever. Although the gorillas are one of the strongest animals on the earth, they are hardly ever violent. Believe it or not, but the Belgian blue cow is one of the most abnormally large and strong animals that exist. This breed of cows is known for its quiet temperament. The adult bull can weigh up to 1250 kg and can grow up to 1.50 meters. In comparison, a Belgian blue cow weighs up to 850 kg on average and sometimes exceed 1.40 meter as well. While most of us think of Belgian blue cows as monsters, they are actually the victims.

The actual reason they look so bulky is because of double muscling. According to research, these cows possess a gene that stops the growth of myostatin in their body. This is why their muscles do not grow after a certain point and they start looking bulky. The meat industry breeds these animals to produce more meat. As a result, the cattle have become of a size that is quite abnormal. It can cause serious health problems in the cattle too. The cows can have difficulties in pregnancy as well. The calves can have many birth defects including abnormally large tongues.
