Brooke Ligertwood’s heart behind Seven 🥰

"I just hope that this really helps. I hope that it helps the church. It's called Seven because I've spent the last year or so in a book called discipleship on the edge by a pastor and theologian, Darrell Johnson. And basically, Revelation is one of the freakiest books in the Bible. If you are listening, and you've read Revelation, and you've been afraid, don't worry, you're not alone. And so my friend gave me this book that had been so helpful for me. Opening up that book, the book of revelation from the Bible, I remember reading the opening chapter of that book and crying with relief. Because I was reminded again, that, Jesus really does stand in the middle of the church, and you know, in the mess of the last few years and what has happened for people worldwide. I feel like these are the songs that God's given me to send to the church. And to remind us all that he is in the middle and he doesn't stand far off or distant, or empathetic, but Jesus Christ stands right in the middle of his church. He has not left us abandoned or forsaken, and he's at work in our midst right now. So that is what I hope. I hope that people are comforted and encouraged and emboldened when they listened to the album and remember that Jesus is still building his church. So we can take a lot of comfort and hope and joy in that."
