- Bocuse d'Or Weekly News #10 Germany 2012: role and responsability of the jury -
Without them, the Bocuse d'Or would be meaningless. These are the chefs who judge candidates and establish dishes across culinary merit. Each dish must first seduce the jury by the look and then by the taste. Saying that these jurors are the finest gourmets of the planet is not an exageration.

Today it's the final in Stuttgart Germany. Patrick Jaros, Bronze Bocuse in 1995 and president of the Bocuse d'Or Germany has to brief these formidable tasters. 40 points for taste, 20 points for presentation, the jury is divided in two: the fish jury and the meat jury. Their work is very important: a whole career can change after a competition like this one.

Nevertheless, the jury also take advantage of this time to gather with gourmets. And they know they are privileged: they have the rare opportunity to taste the most innovative and delicious dishes in the world!
