How I embrace the gloomy days of winter | Moss & Mirth Slow Living Vlog |
|
Light. Every living creature craves and needs light. In the bleakness of winter it can often feel like we are not getting enough of it. When I moved from sunny California to drizzly, grey Washington, I quickly learned that in the winter months the right kind of lighting can greatly boost my mood. Over the past few years I've slowly collected many different lights to create the mood I need to get through the darkness of winter here within the 45th Parallel North. Those along with lots of nourishing home cooked meals, and plenty of time in nature, rain or shine, I am able to embrace the winters here, instead of despising them. Wintertime is my time to really slow down, while spring and summer is a much more busy time, especially in the garden:) and until then I am brainstorming and planning out the garden and things I'd like to see and do in the warmer months. How about you? What are some things that you like to do in wintertime?
