The McMaster Demystifying Medicine Program is a knowledge translation initiative, which began in January 2012, encompassing a seminar series and an undergraduate course. The seminar series includes presentations of patients, pathology, diagnosis and therapy in the context of major disease problems and current research. Undergraduate students enrolled in our course create different educational courses in efforts of simplifying complex research topics for the understanding of the general public. Our aim is to bridge the gap between clinical care and science as we are convinced that collaborative synergistic research approaches involving physician and scientists are critical to make discoveries
that will benefit tomorrows patients.
