Push the world forward on immigration and welcoming diversity | Sintia Radu | TEDxCoMo |
|
Sintia Radu talks about the importance of believing we are all part of a global society in which citizenship should not dictate our interest in contributing to the development of any community we wish to engage in. That life shouldn’t be about documents that tell us when we come and go from any place, how long we can stay, and what kind of relationships we can build. That our contribution to the world should be free as long as our intentions are of the right kind.
Sintia Radu is an award-winning journalist and media strategist. In the last decade, she has gathered experience in multiple areas of the media. She worked for International Emmy-nominated television programs, radio shows, magazines, newspapers, and online media. Most recently, she covered business and tech for St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and served as managing editor for Esquire in her home country of Romania. When she’s not chasing stories of mighty entrepreneurs digging for ideas in their parents’ basement, she loves engaging in ways of innovating and developing new tech tools that boots media companies’ efficiency. One of them, Recordly, got her into the prestigious 2016 WiSTEM (Women in STEM) cohort in Chicago, Ill., an invitation to present the product to Apple, Inc, and a spot in the 2017 AP’s innovation report in the media industry. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx |
