The Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has millennia-old roots and has long since arrived in the West. Follow us on the journey through the People's Republic of China and to the people who still practice TCM today. Ranging from family doctors who pass on their knowledge and secret recipes from generation to generation, to acupuncturists who are able to cure chronic illnesses and natural healers whose ancient recipes can make bones grow back together again. All of them are masters of their profession, and their patients travel from all over Southeast Asia to see them. Their traditional healing methods are based on "Qi" - the mysterious, Chinese life force. The search for the source of "Qi" leads us to independet characters and luminaries, who have withstood persecution under Mao and the marketing strategies of western pharmaceutical companies.
