Who is David Packer?

David Packer was born in Lower Austria and studied Business and Entrepreneurship at JKU Linz. Throughout his twenties, he successfully established a career for himself in the world of professional poker. Next, his career would lead him to become involved in several political movements, launch a startup and gain Kundalini Yoga teaching qualifications. His projects have taken him around the world, but currently he is based in Linz, where he is focusing his passion and energy on bringing consciousness into the realm of politics.


What will his TEDx Talk be about?

To most people - especially those living in Western democracies - more and more it feels like politics is not serving them in a way that satisfies them anymore. We will explore questions like: Is the majority always right? And if you would say no - why does it feel like that? What is the reason and what can we do against it? Is it the fault of others or is the solution inside of us? In my talk I would like to introduce you to the concept of conscious politics, with the aim being that people not only begin to feel like their voice is being heard again, but also become enabled to make conscious political decisions, which serve their true purpose and empower society as a whole.
