Amanda Gorman, the US Youth Poet Laureate of 2017, was among the special guests at the inauguration ceremony of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on January 20, 2021. She recited a poem after Biden took his oath to become 46th president of the United States and Harris to become the first black woman and first person of Indian descent to serve as vice-president.
