Hi I'm Dr. Sam Walters. I received a question from a patient. She asked "Could you tell me about your experience with NASA?"

Yes. Many, many years ago in a land far, far away, I was asked to develop a product for NASA Aerospace Center for the Astronaut Program, and they hired me to actually develop an energy bar-type product. The whole objective to sending the right nutritional products into space, you have to make sure they not only can function physically under no gravity, but you have to ensure you have the right nutrients to fuel the brain. I spent a lot of time developing a nutritional product that they could break down, digest, and assimilate while in space, there’s a lot to that, so I developed a product that looked like a Snickers candy bar, tasted like a Snickers.

So I developed a product that was delicious and it met all the requirements to make the next space shuttle mission, and I was very proud of that.

So that’s my somewhat claim to fame.
