The suspected gunman in the Kuala Lumpur International Airport shooting who arrived at the Kota Baru Magistrate's Court this morning said he "still loves his wife".

The 38-year-old man made these remarks as he entered the court for a remand extension application at 8.35am.

He has been on remand for the last seven days from April 16, which ends today.

The remand extension is to assist in investigations under Section 8 of the Firearms (Increased Penalties) Act 1971.
