Using VR to untangle genes

video thumbnail
Researchers from Oxford have been using VR to look at interactive models of genes.

The simulations use data combined from genome sequencing, data on the interactions of DNA and microscopy data. It lets you see which parts of the genome interact with each other in physical space.

The team from the MRC Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine (WIMM) have been working in collaboration with physicists from Universita' di Napoli and software developers and artists at Goldsmiths, University of London.
