Anwar invites new Singapore PM to Malaysia

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has invited the new Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong to visit Malaysia.

In a post on social media, Anwar said they are ready to work closely for the interest of both countries.

Wong was sworn in as Singapore's fourth prime minister on Wednesday night.

Anwar said that Wong also talked about the unity government's victory in a recent by-election.

Anwar added that they have agreed to commit and cooperate closely, as well as continue discussions on matters of mutual interest.
