For more on the Berkley Center, visit: https://berkleycenter.georgetown.edu/ On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of Georgetown's Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs, former secretary of state Madeleine Albright provided an overview of the role of religion in international relations, both as a source of conflict and as a resource for cooperation and reconciliation. The lecture drew on Albright's extensive experience as a leading diplomat and scholar and revisited the core themes of her pathbreaking 2006 book, The Mighty and the Almighty: Reflections on America, God, and World Affairs, which was published the same year the center was founded. |
