Overlooked Landmarks of Polish Chicago |
|
While plenty are familiar with Polonia Triangle, Jackowo, and the many “Polish Cathedrals” which dot Chicago’s built environment, there are a host of other Polish-American sites in the region which are largely unknown. Join Daniel Pogorzelski of ForgottenChicago.com for a presentation of overlooked landmarks of Polish Chicagoland. Participants will learn about local examples of Carpathian architectural stylings to remnants of bygone institutions as well as other lesser-known places connected to Chicago’s well-known Polish community.
This program is co-sponsored by CPL’s Polish Heritage Committee and presented in honor of Polish Heritage Month. |
