Start by failing? | Suzanne So | TEDxCityUHongKong |

Early childhood education tries to conform children to the paths that the precursors had already done - like a substitution onto the formulae - but does not try to make them adventurous and brave. Yet, it is exactly this kind of teaching that kills creativity, kills passion – the things we sought after from a child. As a mother-to-be and an entrepreneurial educator, Suzanne shares her thought on how to teach the kids better – not just her anticipating new-born, but also the many others around the world.
Named one of the Women in Tech dominating Silicon Valley by Tech Cocktail, Suzanne So is a co-founder of Joy Sprouts, a multi-award winning educational app for children. She has devoted to help parents to understand the educational needs of young learners and facilitate them to grow in a smarter, more well-balanced, and more adaptive way. As the CEO, she led Joy Sprouts to win the TiE50, one of Silicon Valley’s startup awards in a contest competing against 1,100+ international companies. She has also served as the Brand and Licensing Manager of Angry Birds and Smurfs and Project Manager of McDonald for over 40 promotional campaigns (winning the ‘Best Marketing Campaign of the Year’). This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx |
