Sharon Hirsch (Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina) and Erica Palmer-Smith (NC Child) provided an overview of public policy efforts to prevent and address trauma through community organization agendas, initiatives, priorities and policy goals.
They were followed by NC Department of Health and Human Services leaders, including Dr. Charlene Wong, Ingrid Bou-Saada, Saarah Waleed and Amy Eaton, who discussed policy concerns and opportunities across the new NC DHHS Division of Child and Family Well-Being.
