This is a very versatile and feature rich media player that's very affordable at $39. It feels about as fast as a Roku 3 but lacks an ethernet connection that the Roku 3 devices have. But it does support Wireless-N at 5ghz.

It offers a surprising amount of features for the price, especially when using their mobile app. The app brings private listening with headphones (it even syncs up the video properly) voice search, and a keyboard.

The included remote connects via radio (not infrared) and works even if the roku is tucked behind a TV set.

This device is not an enthusiast device but it will play back Blu Ray MKV files with digital surround audio. It does not support lossless playback, however. Nor will it run Kodi (but it does support Plex).
