Cocoa since the 19th century, played an important role in Ghana's economic, political and cultural life, yet, Ghana remains at the bottom of the cocoa value chain. This interesting situation is not limited to just cocoa but is same of Ghana's extractive industries. A simple value chain analysis shows how much Ghana can make from its cocoa today if it investments in efforts to add value to its cocoa.
